Nitesh Joshi
Since joining the Rotary St Albans Verulamium Club (D1260) in 2017, Nitesh has been deeply committed to fully engaging with all aspects Rotary has to offer.
The organisation’s welcoming nature and openness to diverse backgrounds inspired Nitesh’s desire to take on leadership roles. He began as the Digital Officer, which led to his role as Club Secretary, where he gained valuable administrative experience working with the executive committee and council. This involvement gave Nitesh a deep appreciation for the lifelong dedication many members show to their local communities.
As Club President during the challenging period of 2021-2022, particularly amid the pandemic, Nitesh’s leadership was tested. He successfully navigated the transition to virtual meetings while ensuring the safety and well-being of members, which proved both challenging and rewarding. This experience fueled his desire to contribute at a higher level by joining the Rotary GB&I Board, to make a significant difference.
With over 35 years of experience as a company director and entrepreneur, Nitesh understands the importance of teamwork, leadership, and effective long-term vision, skills he now aims to bring to Rotary. As Chair, he applies his business expertise to make a dynamic and professional contribution to the Board.
Nitesh is encouraged by Rotary’s commitment to diversity, inclusion, and equity, believing this focus will attract a more diverse membership. His vision includes fostering digital engagement through a Rotary digital university and addressing the needs of young people. Nitesh is passionate about making Rotary the “go-to” place for young adults and is grateful for the opportunity to serve with dedication and purpose.
